Pollini plays flawlessly, with the greatest finesse and sensitivity, very much in tune with each composer's personal style. His performances are exemplary in every respect. The video and audio are quite acceptable, given their 1970s vintage. Böhm and Abbado are at home in this repertoire, and the Wiener Philharmoniker in excellent form, notwithstanding a few strange noises coming from the horns.

The pianists play in gorgeous baroque venues frequented by Mozart: Mantua's Teatro Scientifico del Bibiena, Prague's Rittersaal of Palais Waldstein and Vienna's Grosse Galerie of Schloss Schönbrunn.

Daniel Barenboim, Sir Georg Solti, András Schiff and the English Chamber Orchestra play Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 9 in E-flat major, K271 "Jeunehomme" (two pianos) and Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, K453 (three pianos).
